Shocks for 76 Sovereign 31 ft.

Ok, I've done some searching and found some useful info. But.... I have not yet uncovered the specific info that I need.

I need the mfg. and specific P/N of shocks for my Airstream, a 76 Sovereign, 31ft. And.....a good place to purchase them.

Thanks, Bill

IIRC they are a specific model just for Airstreams because of the way they mount. I bought mine from Out of Doors Mart in Colfax, NC. They will be happy to ship. They should also be available from most Airstream dealers.

Thanks Aaron....thanks for the info and link.....looks pretty simple. Oh how nice it would be to be able to get down on my knees to work! I use to be able to do it......but no longer. Guess I will have to hire it done.....smile. Bill

Dave, I'm no expert on axles, but the body sets high hen looking at the wheelwells, about 3-4 inches above the top of the aluminum wheels. And the torsion bars are still at a slight angle. Bill

Bill I would be willing to bet the axles are getting tired. But the new shocks can be used on a new axle if you choose to update in the near future. FWIW on my 1975 Airstream with new axles the wheel wells tops should be about even with the tops of the stock sized tires. I don't have new axles but I do still have some flex left in mine and am living with them for a bit longer.
