I usually use a box wrench and a hammer and some PB Blast for the buggers

Thumbs up Shock Replacement

Hi Andy, you were right,it takes less time,if you do it right.I did not first bend the plates that hold the top shocks on.This step makes it earier so as not to strip the top nuts. Also moving both wheels makes the acessablilty for getting the pry bar in to bend the plates and make it easier put the shocks on and tighten the nuts. You can see I treated the beam with rust prove paint. The otherside should go very fast now that I have it down.Yes a six pack for each side. is about right.

Was that a six pack per side, or per wheel?

Mixing Shocks

Andy I have a question on the Shocks.I installed 2 types.of shocks both from airstream in Ohio.I had a old pair that is 10 years old never used A/S .From the previous owner.they are Delco part # 4975425 a heaver shock from 10 years ago.Installed them on the front axel. The second shock is also a A/S shock a Gabriell part #1700312SA it matches the original shocks replaced.you think I am ok doing this. Thanks John. Pss.The top shock is the Delco and bottom shock is the Gabriell.
