shock part number?

i'm in the middle of changing out the shocks in my '78 excella 500. i took one of the old shocks to Pep Boys and they guy there has no idea which gabriel replacment will fit the bill.

does anyone here happen to have a record of what shock part number they recently put on a a/s trailer?

i provided him with the old delco part number originally used which is useless.

thanks for the help,
dave

Dave.

The Delco and Gabriel shocks are OEM to Airstream.

You can only find them at an Airstream dealer.

They are a special "horizontal" shock.

Replacement shock

Gene Wissink.

Unless I missed something, Monroe does not have a proper replacement shock for the horizontal type as used by Airstream.

Please let us know if you have found otherwise.

Airstreams Part number is 0220003. You can purchase this at any Airstream dealer.

I have found looking at there parts books online is a great help in finding numbers.

The Airstream "on line" references are a great help, but basically only for owners with 99's and up.

Do not assume that the part numbers listed are gospel, for all years.

A few items for older trailers are correct, but most of the listed numbers have nothing to do with older coaches.
