Just to be clear... This thread is about a replacement shock for a leaf spring axle. No need to worry about rubber rods.

I just installed the 5752ST shocks. Turns out the measure 12 3/4" open and 8 1/2" closed. My old shocks measured 13" open and 8 5/8" closed. I think these will work great.

In addition all pre-1967 Air Stream trailer had vertical shocks.

Original poster has a 1960 Tradewind.
