Replacement Shocks Needed for our 1977 Minuet 6.0
Hello Everyone,
Hoping that someone can point me in the right direction. Our 1977 Argosy Minuet 6.0 needs replacement shocks. Any recommendations on what I should purchase?
Also looking to install stabilizers on her (she didn't come with any from the factory as far as we can tell). Suggestions on what brand and where to place them?
Thanks!

I took the '89 to the dealer in Lebanon and I thought the parts and labor were very reasonable. I don't know what the mounting arrangement on the Argosy is, but after seeing that I would have to bend the mounting attachement to remove them and the labor/time, it was well worth having them do it.

While you are under there paying attention to the suspension, use Andy's link to check the axles. My '77 had a good ride height but as it turned out the suspension had turned to STONE! The tires would only drop about 2" when all of the weight was lifted indicating almost a solid ride. It wouldn't be a big deal if I only was going to travel to some local parks on smooth roads but we were bouncing walls loose on our lengthy trips.
Good luck!

Hey Peegreen,
Yes, I agree these folks do a great job. In fact they did a bunch of work on our Minuet when my sister owned it and she was happy with the them. We (of course) are under the gun to get both of our trailers ready for the 2008 R1R which is just a few short weeks away. The dealer in Lebanon has a big back log of repair and maintenance work which means Scatter Bug may not be ready in time if we "out source" the work. So, bottom line is Leon must do all maintenance on both trailers before we leave.
Oh, for us the good news is that we won't need to do any unnatural things to remove the old stabilizers because the Minuet doesn't have any!

Thanks, great suggestion. We will do this as this camper is very special to us and the woman who will be towing it to the 2008 R1R is even more important to us then the rig. We do not want anything really bad to go wrong while we are on the road.
