Another Shock Question

Our 1954 Liner did not originally have shocks. I would like to install shocks, but I don't know how they are to be mounted. The lower mount is not a real problem to fabricate, but the upper mount is. Does anyone have a picture of the upper and lower shock mount on a leaf spring axle, preferably a tandem axle unit.

Take a look at C Johnson's photo gallery. Although his Caravel has a torsion axle, his shocks are mounted vertically; one of his images might help you.
