Which Interior is worth some money?

Hi everybody,

My wife and I finally purchased an 1978 Airstream International Ambassador 28' a couple weeks back. We already started taking out parts of the interior, since we plan on modifying it quite a bit.

Now the questions:

Has anything inside the Airstream an "above scrap metal" value? Are there any items which are sought for by restorers in this era? It would be nice to make a few $ on some stuff for our restoration fund

Attached are pictures of the inside. Thanks for any advice.

Best,

Georgie

The answer is "Yes" there are many people looking for parts that can be found in no other way other than a parts trailer our from somone like yourself. If nothing else, give (free) to someone that can use them instead of trashing them.

Georgie if you were closer I'd take both of your sofa beds...post items on the classifieds. When we took everything out of our "78" Ambassador we listed and sold several items. Be for warned that some things (tambour cabinets for one thing) can and will fall apart. Obviously large items will require higher shipping charges...if you can even box, crate, or wrap them. Look forward to seeing what you will do with your Ambassador.

Wow..you work fast!

Just looked at your pictures and you have it down to the pink stuff! Your pink stuff looks nice and clean and your floor looks good. The floor is a huge plus.

I think lots of folks will be interested in your cast offs.

If you still have it, I would be interested in your "spice cabinet"--the thing that used to be over your stove. Let me know if you are interested.
