What's a good filler for the holes left behind by removed rivets

I just got a '78 Sovereign which needs a lot of work!

If you put new rivets in the holes, no one but you will know they don't belong there (unless they're an OCD airstream aficionado). I have several on the outside of my Bambi II that don't belong there & more than several on the inside that don't belong there.

We are painting the walls inside after removing some stuff to gain space, so I was thinking of filling, sanding, priming then paint

Ok, so there is a consensus!

What about where previous owners replaced the original rivets with metal screws? Larger rivets in those holes??

The problem with "filling, sanding, priming then paint"ing is that with the heat/cold & movement down the road, the filler may dislodge or crack.

Should still be able to use a rivet unless the hole is really reamed out. In that case, yes a larger rivet is fine. Once it's painted, they will disappear.

Yes, larger rivets. But you need to understand with a 70's era trailer, you have other issues that should be addressed. First and foremost, the rear end separation that is an endemic issue with these trailers. Second get some axles on it. That could be the missing rivit issue.
