Doesn't look factory. Maybe turns on a fan behind the refrigerator to help exhaust hot air?

Something a PO put in. Hard to know what unless you trace the wires, assuming they still connect to anything.

We checked all those suggestions...didn't hear or see anything....thanks...will keeps eyes open but not remove the cabinet to find out.
