What is is? Do I need it? Can I replace it?!

Completely new to this, just bought our first airstream and renovating it. Theres a plastic vent style thing which was above the fridge which I want to take down, I took a photo but cant upload it for some reason, any advice welcome!

If you plan to use an RV refer. You need the vent. I believe this is the plastic thing you are referring to.

Will be using a RV fridge, so looks like I will need to find a replacement one as this one isn't in great condition, thanks

Inland rv sells a replacement scoop but its costly... You may want to give your fiberglassing skills a try.
