What do you most want for your AS that is not available?
#1 -- I am curious. What do you need most for your trailer or motorhome that is not available by any realistic means? By this I mean a part or component that originally came with the camper. This could be for interior or exterior, running gear, lighting, access doors, trim, knobs, engine components, bathroom or kitchen fixtures, etc.
#2 -- Please list separately any customization wants--things that you wish were available but were not offered with the campers.
We are not far enough into our Excella or 310 to have any in-depth needs, but I am sure we will find them soon enough!
Thanks,
Susan

Yep, 2air, obsolete stuff. One example might be the cone-shaped lights someone posted about in another thread.

those blasted pot metal door handles
ANYONE who has broken the inside handle or worn out the insides of one of the 80's model entry door handles/latches (maybe some early 90's) find themselves with no viable, and acceptable option. Airstreams solution is, in my opinion, unacceptable, and old ones go for uo in the hundreds of dollars!
Guess that would be a good item for someone to machine, and then produce a lost wax mold to run a few. Might pay in the end.

Well, my dream part(s) would be something that falls into the #2 category: Airstream never offered the 30' Safari in the SE trim package and the thing(s) I wish my Airstream had are the "real" Airstream windows. The Hier windows suck! Airstream should have never put the d@#n things in one of their products. When I discussed it with Airstream they had every excuse under the sun except a valid one for using them.

Parts for Sale...
I saw this on San Francisco Craigslist today... AirStream Trailer Accessories(Rock Guards/Tanks)
I have nothing to do with this Ad, just putting it out here for anybody that's interested.
BTW,never having done so, I just realized I don't know how to start a new thread. Could some one tell me how?

Doorgunner,
I am in the mountains of N GA hosting at a campground about 30 miles from the Springstreamfling....or whatever, and I cannot seem to get away to get over there! Nor do I have pics to down load. The door handle is what I desperately would like to find. They do break easily.

Gotta love the optimism
Okay now for my second wish.
Rub, rub, rub (on the magic bottle). I wish that my wife loved to camp every weekend
I've since learned that the more I do on the camping trips (all of the cooking, cleaning and tending to the mutts) the more she enjoys going. Perhaps this is the long sought after solution...

Good question, Mark. There used to be a "New Thread" option, but it seems to have disappeared.
