What Airstreams had a rear Bedroom
My wife and I have been looking for an Airstream with a rear bedroom and center bath. We had a 74 AS with that floor plan years ago and would like to find another. Does any know what years and models had this layout? Looking for 1980 and older models that are under 26 feet. Thanks Brian

A large percentage of the 70's and 80's 29' and 31' had rear bedrooms.

Have not seen any <29' w rear bedrooms from the 70's. Think they started in 1984 in the 25' model.

Recently (a couple weeks ago - first time airstreamers) purchased a 1985 25 ft Sovereign. Full bed at the rear, middle bath and plenty of room in front. Love our airstream! Janice

My 86 Sovereign is rear bedroom. Love it.
Although it mysteriously shrinks to 30' when I make state park reservations (that seems to be the "magic cutoff" for a lot of sites).

We have a 2005 Classic with a rear bed facing side ways. Very comfortable. A little difficult climbing in the back side. Easier to get in over the end of the bed.

I have a '79 Sovereign with the rear bedroom. My understanding is they switched to the rear bedroom when they found the bathroom was much more stable, less leakage etc., when they moved it closer to the center of the rig. Joan

To the best of my knowledge, what you're looking for (under 26 feet, pre-1980, center bath) does not exist. (Unless there is some 50s or 60s trailer that's slipping my mind.)
There is a handful of mid-70s Overlanders (27') side bath trailers, but they were basically special order trailers. There aren't too many of those. You might be able to find a 28' Argosy with a side bath; they're cool because they have panaromic windows front and rear, just like a modern trailer.
Avion had a 23' side bath trailer, but I've been told you can count those on the fingers of three hands.
Your best bet for "easy" finding of a center bath - mid-80s 25' Sovereigns, as mentioned above. (A footnote; some of the motorhomes had this floorplan, but that's not what you're looking for.)

I suppose I have a prejudice, but can't help interjecting a last comment. The Sovereign I have is only three feet longer than the 28' Argosy or four feet beyond the Overlanders. Those extra feet provide sooooo much more livability. First, having the bathroom with resulting fixtures and so forth more centrally located is a no brainer IMHO for a number of reasons and is not any more difficult to manuver. The huge rear window in the bedroom is worth the price of admision. There is just no comparison. We have so much more natural light and I love to wake in the morning to the sights and sounds out the back of the trailer. Of course we do our camping in the woods or at the beach and are rarely if ever, staring into someone else's trailer.

My 1975 Airstream Argosy 24' Center Twin has a rear bath. I've never seen a side bath Airstream/Argosy in person.

My 33' Argosy has a queen bed in the back. I've spent a few weeks in it [I stay in it during the work week] with my cats, and it's very livable. But I'm sure I'd have issues in some of the state parks. This is the brochure that is my exact trailer

I found a decent original 1977 28 ft rear bedroom, side bath Argosy only 3 hrs drive away. It lives with me now, renovation pending. Apparently, Argosy rear bedroom were only made for 3 years.

Of course today's model 25 has the nice queen rear and mid bath. Beautiful layout. We have the new 30 and if we were to go smaller it would be the 25.
