Kevin,
Thanks for the pictures! I plan on a phone call to Camping World to see if they still have them. The sku and the catalog search online came up blank. I did find an address and phone number for the importer, but I have never had much luck going that route before. We have checked into the possiblity of making our own, but the hardware is the key and we have not found a source for it...yet. BTW those two chairs wouldn't happen to be in your Overlander down at Ace Fogdall's would they I am headed for Cedar Falls on Wednesday...I wonder if they could be bribed to sell them (just kidding!)

Aaron

Wanted..Wood Folding Chairs AS

Greetings Aaron!

The chairs are in my Airstream, but it isn't the trailer at Ace Fogdall. The Minuet is there and in the process of getting a new axle as well as a few other repairs in preparation for a planned trip to Alaska next summer.

Oh well, you can't blame me for trying I do plan on stopping by Ace Fogdall's while we are up there. He has one vintage unit for sale that I want to take a quick look at. Don't plan on buying it just want to take a look see. But you never know..."what do you mean it is too big for carry on?

Storage Space Provided?

Kevin,

You mention a storage space. What Airstreams (year/model?) came with these folding chairs and where is this provided space?

I'm also curious about your planned trip to Alaska and a discussion about thatm, but that should be left to another thread.

Davydd,
I know they were on the 70's models. The storage is behind the fold away table. In my case it is in the credenza on the road side near the front. The best thing about the "Leg-O-Matic" chairs is that they fold down smaller than most of the currently available folding chairs and they look like a regular dining room chair, kind of Airstreamish...gotta keep up the image of being a millionare LOL

Wanted..Wood Folding Chairs AS

Greetings Davydd!

In my '64 Overlander International, the storage area is in the 3/4 wardrobe in the bathroom - - there are hooks with belts to secure the chairs in this cabinet for travel. I am not certain that this was the factory arrangement, but the hardware has been with the coach since '64 (the original chairs disappeared between the second owner's acquisition and my acquisition from the third owner).

leg-o-matic chairs

Just wanted to thank all of you for this thread! I went to eBay and did the search, found some for sale. Then did an advanced search to see what people HAD been paying for them. Located six matching chairs in one current auction, and managed to snipe it for less than the average per chair had been! Woo-hoo! And I am thrilled! Can't make up my mind if we want to keep all six, keep four, or only two. I'm leaning to keeping four, selling two. To see my chairs, go here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ory=37949&rd=1
