Wall Thickness

I suppose I should know the answer to this question but quite honestly do not! I am getting ready to attach cleats to the sidewalls with expanding screw anchors to act as support for the overhead cabinet shelving units. The last thing I want to do is run a sheet metal screw through the polished exterior skin. What is the dimension between the outer and inner skin? Thanks!

Our '72 ribs are about 1 3/4" thick. Not exactly that - I can go out and measure if you need an exact value.

It actually varies in my '60 - from 1-3/8" to 1-1/2"
(the first and last "ribs" are 1-3/8" and the rest of them are 1-1/2")
