Vintage Surprises

I found this mouse mummy in a cabinet in the 73 Streamline I'm working on. What surprises have you found?

Funny what one year difference makes...

My '72 had a pearl-handled straight shaving razor and an Ace of Hearts playing card.

My '73 had a pearl mussel shell and a black & white yin-yang symbol jewelry pendant.

I had digital photos but they've vanished into old hard-drives or CD-Roms hidden away.

Skeletons in the closet

I find lots of decaying rodents in the belly pans.

Remember, you asked for it

I found some used family-planning products in the black tank of one trailer, and probably a couple dozen empty whiskey bottles in another.
I also found a 5 foot long snake skin in a belly pan, and a pretty large unoccupied yellow jacket nest in another belly pan.

no pix but when I first got my 66 I found three or more dead birds...big ones. Under the refrigerator and under the beds. Don't know how they could have gotten in there.

Oddest thing I found was a 270 round. I guess the trailer was used for a hunt camp at one point.

In our 1970 I found a 1970 penny under a cabinet base that was screwed to the floor so I think it had to go in at the factory. Also so not to good racy pencil drawings behind the refer. Dave

Some years ago I got a 60 something Overlander that had been sitting in the mountains in NM for years. The packrats decided to adopt it before I did. The entire floor was covered with midden, up to your knees in places. Midden is nesting material the packers bring in to make a home, and they don't stop at good enough. Some of the material was Choya cactus. Nothing would work to keep you from being skewered by the needles. Also was a good collection of rat poop and skeletons.

Glass vial of prescription amphetamines from the 70's. Boy, those were the good ole days indeed...
