understanding / discussing older floorplans

Hi -

Where's the best place (in these forums) to learn about the floorplans of older airstreams? For instance I think some of the overlanders have floorplans that sound good, but what if other models do too?

Specifically - we really like the idea of the mid quarters double bed, and I'm trying to figure out which models / years might have had that configuration.

Thanks!

Have you checked out the Vintage Photo Archives? It's a great resource for comparing vintage models.

Most '60s doubles had that configuration. Our GlobeTrotter does...albeit shorter than an O'Lander

darkstar,
Most of the 70's models had it as an option. However most of them seem to have been ordered with the amidships twins for some reason. I know that the Tradewind, Overlander, and Sovereign all came with it.

Our 75 Trade Wind has the double bed arangement. It was one of the things we looked for when we did our search. It is not the largest bed, but it works well for the two of us. We keep it as a bed all the time and that does narrow the path to the bathroom a little bit. One very nice feature of the double arangement is the amount of storage that you have on the other side of the isle.
