twins to queen

WE have recently purchased a 1989 Excella 28ft twin beds in the rear, it is in excellent shape very lightly used. We would like to renove the twin beds and install a queen size bed. How difficult is that to do and keep the look as original as possible? Are there replacement panels that will cover what the twin beds now cover?

This is something that I have been very interested in for a while. Here is a previous thread:

The current thing that I have been thinking is to have a local carpenter (or one in Malibu Hills?) come in and make it the way that I want. What I want is the bed to be in sideways and liftable. That is our heads would be against the streetside wall.

Let us know what you figure out!
