Twin Bed Air Mattresses

I recall a few "steamers" asking about air mattresses' a while back and as I was reading the Good Sam's Highway Magazine I can across the following from Americana Bear Beds - Home of the Teddy Bear Air Beds

"for only $849.00 per mattress. Each mattress is covered by a 15 year manufacturer's warranty. We are glad to build an Airstream mattress for you, but because this is such a specialty mattress we can not offer our usual money back guarantee, although it is fully covered under warranty."

I'm tempted to buy these for my 25' Classic but I sure would like to hear from someone with first hand experience before pulling the trigger.

Hi from Ga. . .me to Mr. Craftsman. our 6 yr old twin mattresses are digusting and we're gonna change them, but $1700 for a pair is not chump change to me. I'm visiting a local 'mattress factory' place tomorrow so I can get an idea of price for custom making a couple. It's always something . I guess that's why SWMBO has begun refering to the As as 'the hole in the driveway I throw money into'........Regards, Craig

Hi again from Ga. . . Just ordered 2 custom twins at local mattress 'factory'(local, not chain) for about the same price as ONE from Bear. These are 8" thick inner spring type mattresses. I'll let you know how they 'sleep' , regards, Craig

Hi, my trailer came with a really firm queen mattress and super soft pillows; We doubled up on the pillows and when we bought a new memory foam mattress topper for our house bed, I took the old one into my trailer a cut it to fit. This has worked well for us.

This thread was started by Safari-Rick almost three years ago, maybe he can give us an update on how well these mattresses have worked for him.
