Trim in bathroom

Hi,
I am in the midst of doing some restoring/customizing of a 78 25 footer. In the bathroom there are many feet of brass channel with a plastic insert trim to protect the screws. I looked online to try and buy plastic trim to replace this an was unable to find anything. Any suggestions out there?

If you cant find the plastic insert, you may be able to use wood edge banding that you can find at most hardwood lumber suppliers. It comes in rolls in many different hardwoods that would compliment your interior.

Insert Nosing

I've got a bunch of the very product. I'll admit a mistake and take a bath on it. Total width is 1 1/16"; width of the middle band that stands away from the screw or rivet heads is slightly over 15/16".

Inland RV made full profit on my purchase. It is $1.80 a foot at InlandRV. I'd be happy to let it go at $.75 a foot. It's not doing me any good and will look better in your "happy home." I've got plenty of length -- what do you need? PM me if you're interested.

Remove the plastic do not replace it. Next replace the rusted screw with brass screws. Polish this "new" metal trim and give it a coat of wax it will serve you many years and look great.

My price just dropped...

I learned my lesson -- I was actually hunting for J-trim for the metal edges and got waylaid by an underling at inlandrv. And where do you think I got my J-trim? OasisRV of course!

I've got plenty of this plastic stuff for a song if you want it...

Eric,
I'd take canoe stream up on that offer. I would myself but already installed mine and won't need more.

Use strips of linoleum

We just used leftover linoleum in our bathroom. Looks better than the plastic stuff and ties the bathroom together.
