I know Vulkem a little bit from tearing apart shell pieces - working with it on interior finished pieces maybe someone else has a better method, but here is my best guess...
Heat, A safety razor blade, and slow even lifting to get one point separated and the rest should zip apart. I think it might take more than a hair drier, if you go with a forced air heat gun on low be very wary as it will deform the backboard laminate in an instant. Shielding just where the air outlet 'overspray' will flow off the trim onto the backboard will make it work if you are sparing.. with a chunk of sheet metal or thin plywood as shielding, heat the trim piece and work a safety razor blade under it and start prying...
