Time to remodel!!

When we purchased our "01 Limited, the previous owners had removed most of the carpeting and installed some type of floating floor in it's place due to a medical condition. So we have talked for years that someday we'd replace all the flooring with something we both liked. (currently we have the original oak flooring in the kitchen area and this floating floor stuff, which isn't really bad, we just don't like it.
So in the newest issue of Motorhome magazine there is an article about upgrading your flooring to Luxury woven vinyl. After I read it I decide, THIS is what we have to have! It's made by a company called Infinity LWV, out of Georgia. To make a long story short, they don't sell retail and I don't pay anyone to do work that I can do myself. Where there is a will, there is a way....... I scored enough of their Better than Teak product to cover the entire floor front to back. Although there are about 10 different variations of their Teak flooring, it's the one Airstream is using as a flooring option in it's 2016 trailers.

After the new floor is in were going to "revamp" the general layout of the interior. getting rid of the couch altogether and also the existing dinette, rebuilding it into a large u-shaped area in the head of the Airstream. I think we're going to add kitchen cabinets and a countertop to the cubside, that will increase our storage and open up the kitchen area while allowing 6 more feet of counter space.
It's a pretty ambitious project considering we're living in this thing. But I'm sure it will be fun and with some luck, look good when we're done!

I'm interested in putting in new vinyl flooring as well. I love the rustic look of the limited edition Pendelton trailer but I can't handle the price like most. That dark flooring is so gorgeous! I would love to know what you think of this woven vinyl. I'm not near that stage in our remodel to put down floors yet. Maybe by the end of summer...

Well maybe with some luck by then Infinity LWV will have their retail end for selling this new line a little better suited for consumers. I read about it (their product) in a current issue of Motorhome magazine. A Google search turned up very little about it and even less about where to buy it. So I called the company and got a "sales" rep who was happy to talk until he figured out I only wanted to buy enough to do my one Airstream. As it turns out , they don't have a retail partner, (Yet?) and they also have very few wholesale customers that actually have a display or sample station setup. Currently, in order to buy it you need to find a marine flooring specialist, or high end RV shop that is familiar with the line order it for you( and of course, they are going to want to install it for you as well!) This is a big reason their product isn't affordable. So do an EBay search for "Infinity Woven vinyl flooring" there is a guy in Georgia selling what I'm guessing are "scraps" & also cut to length pieces. If you're looking for a particular design , just message him, I believe he has much more than he list's on EBay, + free shipping! ( always a plus)
Our roll showed up last week via FedEx, 8.5'X 27' of the "Better than Teak #4" design with the heavy duty 1\4" backing. Enough to do our entire floor from front dinette back to the bedroom, and the price was not too bad. ( $4.75/ sq.ft)
Only problem now is the floor wasn't "scheduled" to be tore out until June. So, now we have to speed up the "plan". My impressions so far...? I like it! However, buying sight unseen...not my favorite way to do things. Fortunately though, the colors were working towards are all fairly neutral, so it was worth the gamble.
