The VAP Throw Down!

Ok, if you haven't listened to Episode 59 of Welcome to the Frontpage - The Vintage Airstream Podcast then you're missing out on the VAP throwdown! Episode 60 is a classic as well!

What's the throw down you say? Well, it's a Bobby Flay style Bathroom restoration challenge that Frank threw down on Colin and Rob (me) to who would have their bathroom restoration completed by the WDCU Cherry Blossum Rally (CBR) in April. So, check out the VAP and then check out our blogs:

Rob's - Sweet Sovereign of the Road and

Frank's - Anna Lumanum

Colin - well, email him asking what his status is - colin@theVAP.com

If you like toast - stick around and watch Frank and Colin get toasted! Like butter with that?

Maybe you can influence Tim, the Judge of the competition - email him at Tim@theVAP.com

Good luck guys,

Rob

All in good fun. I think I'll send a couple cans of chilli and Spam to Tim so he can really test those fixtures properly.

Now why would you do that? Because spam is a great lubricant for squeeky hinges and chili is a cheap (albiet inferior) substitute for sikaflex aka crack filler (sorry couldn't resist)?

Lot's of fun!

I've been preparing a special ingredient (starts with E and ends in LAX) brownie forumla for Tim so I can really make sure I've got things right.

Again, this is all in good fun. I'll say thanks to Frank now, as he's got me going again.

Where's Frank and Colin today?

I just ordered these for my fixtures... I like them becuase they look like and will match my Byam Hooks

Authentic Light Fixtures and Restoration Hardware by REJUVENATION
Item 1: Linfield Toilet Paper Holder, Polished Nickel: FZ7519
Item 2: Linfield Single 5/8" Towel Bar: FA8221
Item 3: Linfield Toothbrush Holder, Polished Nickel: FZ3684

Pricey I know, but only the best for the Throw Down!

Enjoy!

I am not quite sure what the criteria is for judging the bathrooms. The use of exlax or chilli will be not be needed for what you will behold... When your eyes feast upon what I will be creating, you will want to relax and enjoy the experience. You will want to take your time, to perhaps dream of far away travel destinations... today Anna looks like this:
Attachment 51600

But come the Cherry Blossom Rally hosted by the WDCU... well, it will be an entirely different story, Mr. Baker. I might be mistaken, but that is 98 days to be all done. No problem... plenty of time, right Rob?

Bathroom like attachment

I'm just hoping your bathroom functions like that Attachment link.. I'm a winner for sure then. Right - 98 days and counting. Don't blink. Otth yeah, Tim - what's your butt dimnesions - I need the right size throne for the judge. Isn't fit one of the criteria? Do you like Charmin or Northern quilt type of TP or the Camping World brand?

Tim,

Don't answer this here. Save it for the next VAP episode... it will be a teaser to get folks to listen

Episode 61: Tim Shephard's butt

As long as we don't have to see any pictures... you should be OK. LOL!

On second thought, I think we are going to need some photographic proof of the functionality of each contestants bathroom... maybe this "throw down" thing wasn't such a great idea.

...or maybe we need a judge with a better looking "butt"
