I just want it noted to the apparent judge, there is more to a bathroom experience than the size of a toilet seat or how much force a 12v pump can push water through the toilet to transport the spam and exlax and chilli that one of my competitors seems is needed for judging. As a child of the 60's. I am all about " the experience"... as Jimi said, "are you experienced? Have you ever been experienced?..." and Tim will sing..." I have...." My bathroom will be a place that will cause you to linger and become experienced. My bathroom will be a place in which you will want to stay and dream of a caravan to Mexico or Central America... perhaps Canada. A place where you can envision going from the pacific to the atlantic in your Airstream. It will be a place where you will dream about towing down blue lane highways because that is all there is.

Rob, When the fat lady sings, well you know what you will be doing.... thats 2 parts tequila, 1 part lime juice, 1 part triple sec... no salt.... on the rocks. So keep talking... but when that fat lady sings, her song will be..."AAAANNNNNNAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

An experience eh?

Hope you've got good exhaust fans Frank! Or it'll be an Experience all right!

I'm searching for a Thetford-Sealand toilet - I know the judge really likes those models ... and I'm looking for a candle with a "burnt insulation" smell to it....to bring back a reminicense (sp) of his very own restoration of course - a memorial frame of mind if you will - ah - the way it was. I think Colin is going for the Bidee approach - most closest to his Porta-potti - ya know change is hard for those older folks and when he flushes - he'll be able to remember why he's there (he wants that experience for the judge you're talking about)! I just hope he can solve his black tank valve issues.....and make it in time... 97 days!

Neither of you guys will have "experienced" the ultimate in Airstream baths until you've experienced "luxury that rivals the most expensive hotel suite" as found in a '67.

... that is luxury Steve, I would not know how to handle myself in such a classy joint. Do you serve caviar in there? Do you have some Grey Pouton?

I bet 67 owners offer Two-Ply

I'm envious Steve. I bet you 67 High end bath owners utilize that two ply stuff. Then again, try and take all that stuff apart and get to the floor for those needed repairs. I'll stick with my 58 simplicity - nice simple appliance white in color as it was in the day. SWEET! as in Sovereign of the ROAD! 18 more rivets riveted tonight... gettin there one rivet at a time. Oh, and Frank - that would be Air Pressure driven water - no 12V pump here baby! Just nice old-fashioned Air Pressurized system of the 50s!

Dead batteries

Beats the "Oh my batteries are low, wish I could flush" syndrome while extended boon-docking! Just a couple pumps on the old bike pump - and Whoosh! Sweetness!

Rob, when I met you a number of months ago, you were such a nice young man. I think that this challenge has brought out a side of you did not know... you have become quite the Gladiator... Being a Marine and a Naval Academy graduate, you are familiar with military terms. When a major military operation is underway and the element of surprise is going to utilized, the troops are ordered to "maintain radio silence". This is done so that the enemy has as little intelligence as possible, so that the enemy does not see the strike force coming. One of my mentors has sat me down in the War Room (also known as my shop) and informed to "maintain radio silence". He feels it is time to fight a covert war. He feels this battle will be won only through stealth and guerilla tactics. As much as I enjoy this banter we are having, I am forced to listen to my Generals. I will no longer post about what is going on through this forum. Any questions I need answered will be done through an alias or a collaborator or possibly spies as to not allow you to know the true progress being made. On that faithful day in April, it will be you my friend, mixing my cocktails at happy hour... 2 parts tequila, 1 part lime juice, one part triple sec.... that is how I like my margarita. See you down and up the road....

Rob-

You need to tone it down a little, stop posting and get to work. Stop sharing your ideas on the forum. Don't share a thing with the boys; in fact vanish for a while, keep them in suspense!

I agree that this would be the best strategy, but that makes it no fun for the rest of us... This "throw down" is our Airstream reality show. We all will get a thrill out of watching these three guys heading full steam toward a train wreck and in the end one will end up at the top of the heap of wreckage. LOL!

...and the other two will have a finished bath and much less stable mental faculties.

I think this gives Frank the advantage either way... go Frankie!

Enemy

Frank - I thought this was a FRIENDLY competition... I see how it is when the heat gets turned up.. ok, keep us in suspense, but I'm here for the readers too - those that won't be at the CBR (but I can't understand why that would be?)

An Airstream Extreme Makeover Ty Pennington style (we'll - not like the one they did on TV).

Train wreck? Who said that? Frank's only keeping quiet because I think he's found more rot - What would Homer say?

Rob, it is not what would Homer say... it is what would Wally do. That is my mantra... what would Wally dooooooo? what would Wally dooooo? say it with me Rob, what would Wally dooooooo? Once more Rob, what would Wally dooooooo? If you exhale on "do" and really hold that "oooo" until your lungs are empty, well it is better than yoga. Think of it as Airstream yoga.

I need an official ruling here... I know I agreed to do my project solo (in order to make it more fair to the pros ), but I realized yesterday that I cannot buck rivets alone. I want to have a friend help. He is not an Airstreamer, so I do not see any conflict here. I am sure Rob and Colin had help or maybe even had not part of the bucking to start. What does everyone think?
