Wow Susan, that is going to be one very cool interior job! That's what you call "customizing"! Good luck finding someone to sew. Wonder if you asked around some shoe repair places since they, of course, deal in leather & may know of some folks who do heavy-duty sewing. Seems more specialized than the local seamstress...

Hmmm. There is a little upholstery shop I drive by in Pine Bluff that has a lot of people coming and going with upholstery projects. I will have to stop by there and check them out. I'll let you know what I find out!

Great idea, Jaxon! I do know of a shoe place in downtown Pine Bluff that is supposed to be pretty good...

I hope so, too! The new curtains are really clashing with the rest of the 80's decor!

I certainly hope so!

Unfortunately Susan has to do all the prep work for the trip since I'm not able to do it right now .

Your project is coming along nicely, I can't wait to see everything all together!

About the upholstery with leather....is there a way to find out where restaurants get their booths done? Possibly a commercial/contract furniture company or a boating/yacht upholsterer?

Will you be using enamelware for your plates/bowls/mugs?

Deer or Steer antlers/horn something or other?

Debra

NO!!!

I called and spoke to the lady, and she said to call back Friday. Sigh. (For those playing along at home, our confirmation was for spot 4. When Steve called recently, they said we were in spot 25!)

Thanks, Debra!

Good idea on the restaurant upholsterer! I will check around and see what I find.

I think I will probably use enamelware, with Corelle back-up (for the microwave). I have yet to find dishes I really would like in there.

Probably no horns, since there's not much room and I don't want to lose an eye! I *was* thinking about a set of steer horns over the cab area, but can't figure how to safely/securely attach them to the end cap.
