The best way to gut the inside of an Airstream

I want to get an Airstream and completely gut the inside and remodel it myself. Aside from the specific costs of parts, what is the best model to do this with and how much would it generally cost? I would want to redo the inside soup to nuts, walls, floors, everything. How much could I get an old used one for and still make it viable? All advice is appreciated.

i'd estimate 10k for the remodel plus cost of purchase. cost of purchase depends of what you want; a 30ft or 16ft? 50's or 90's? do you want to keep it original or are you planning your own design / layout? longer 70's models seem to be the cheapest, and better condition, older short trailers are more $$. One advantage you have is that you are west coast and airstreams seem to fare better out west due to drier conditions..

hey thanks! that helps. the more research i do, a 70's model does seem to be the best option for what i want to do. im not going to keep any of the inside original, but rather looking to turn it into a work space. i want to put in a toilet/ sink bathroom and a mini fridge and microwave for a kitchen and a great AC unit. so far thinking about 20 foot range but havent locked that down yet either. i dont know yet what kind of truck or SUV i would need to pull it with.
