Tension wire between ribs
I'm renovating a 1976 Argosy 28'. I've taken down the interior aluminum skin and am planning to replace it with 1/4" plywood panelling. However, without the additional strength of the interior aluminum, I'm concerned about the panelling wiggling loose over time due to the subtle flex of the shell. Should I criss-cross tension wire between the ribs in order to firm everything up? This solution was suggested to me, but I've been unable to find any documentation of anyone else using it. Is this necessary? Does anyone have experience with this?
