Tempur Pedic clone

We would like to replace the mattresses (twins) with as close to Tempur Pedic as possible. I have read several posts about people using a memory foam mattress, but has anyone found one close to the feel of the TP? Thanks and my back thanks you too.

Costco has a nice memory foam mattress. Bought one a few years ago - but it's 12" thick and fairly heavy.

We got a Swedish made memory foam mattress at CostCo some years ago. Amazing and would never go back to anything else.

We went the cheaper route and bought a 4 inch memory foam topper, made the rock hard bed much nicer. As our Excella has the angled corners it was easy to cut the foam to match. The Queen fit our bed exactly.

Serta Ultimate 4-inch Visco Memory Foam Mattress Topper | Overstock.com

The only downside is if it's cold or you like camping in the early spring or fall, the mattress topper will turn very hard until you warm it up.

Foam Matteress

We purchased the Aerus Foam mattress from Sam's club several years ago and have been very satisfied. We have the short Queen bed and used the 10" mattress because the weight is about the same as the original mattress. Have recommended the Aerus mattress to several other Airstream friends and they also seem to like them. The mattress comes with a real nice Bamboo cover with zipper. On person purchased the Queen mattress and cut it in half to make two twins.

We have Tempur Pedic at home, and the 12 inch from Costco in the trailer, and love them both.

Very easy to trim for that custom Airstream fit.

Jamison manufactures a Tempurpedic clone.

Jamison supplies Marriott. They're one of the oldest mattress companies you've never heard of.

They make a quality product.

Just curious if you have one in your airstream or just know of them? Thanks.

We bought our home temper clone from Bed in a Box .com. We will do the same for the Overlander. The 34' has an Overstock.com topper.

We love both the home bed and the topper

I think the key here is to understand what you are getting. Tempur-Pedic brand uses 5 lb. per cubic foot viscous foam. In this game, weight is quality, so you want to purchase a mattress where the foam is at least 5 lbs. per cubic ft. Be aware that there is a lot of 4 lb. per cubic foot viscous foam out there being sold as 5 lb. It is not the same quality. 4.5 lb per cubic foot cannot be rounded up to 5 lb. It has to have a density of at least 5.0 lbs per cubic ft. to be 5 lb. 4 lb. foam will have a useful life of about 7 years. 3 lb about 4-5 years. 5 lb. about 12-15 years.

We have the Jamison king adjustable in our home.

I honestly thought we wanted Temper, until we tried the Jamison.

Not a great deal of difference between the two; except price. After all, someone's got to pay for Temper Pedic's ad budget.

I agree, go to mattress stores and shop around, and then choose what you like for the AS. We tried Tempurpedic and compared other brands, and they were all as nice as the Tempurpedic. Way less expensive. Don't worry too much about the brand.

We bought one from the Original Mattress Factory. We're so happy with it that we're replacing our house mattress with one too.
