If the doors are intact a good cleaning and lube should help. Use a Q-tip or small piece of rag with a popcicle stick and rubbing alcohol to clean the door channels. Some folks use WD-40 in the channels and it works well. I recently found some dry lube in a spray can which sprays wet and turns dry in a few minutes, works very well and doesn't smell. I got this at an automotive store. I don't have it in front of me but I recall that it is Liquid Wrench brand.

Use some slicone spray. It does not leave much of a mess behind. It cured all my tambour problems. I think GUNK makes some. Go to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts or Even Walmart and they should have it.

Have any of the tambour slats come loose at the side and jumped the track to where they are now sticking out on the outside of the track? Had this problem causing them to be hard to move. Replacing mine with new ones because of the broken ends jumping the track.

Thank you all. They appear to be in tact.

Silicone spray might work after a good scrub down...
