Switch covers

Friends: I'd like to repair/replace the two switch covers that my wife, Martha Stewart, ruined with aggressive cleaning. Any ideas? Many thanks and safe travels.

Well there are two choices

First would be to paint and use a label maker

Second would be to replace the wife

Extremely unlikely you could get just the covers but the complete switches may still be available. If it were me I'd call the Airstream Store on Monday and see if they happen to still have any. Since this is a not a specific Airstream part you should be able to have them shipped direct instead of going thru a dealer - if Airstream has any left that is.

If it can be taken apart, your neighborhood sign shop (one with a wide format digital printer) should be able to replicate it for you. The cause I can see on the failure is that most likely the screws the factory used are not stainless and rust stains from the threaded area are traveling underneath the image area. I am currently upgrading my screws to stainless as I have the same issue popping up in several areas, though mostly on woodwork ☺

Unfortunately if you pull those screws out and see rusty threads you may own Ms. Stewart an apology...

Two days later, he saw Martha Stewart again, just a little bit out of his left eye......😇
