Swapping Interiors? Endcap Questions...

Folks,

I noticed a rear bath setup and front end pieces from a '69 Ambassador for sale. I am not sure if they are still for sale but will pose the question anyway. I have a '78 rear bath Land Yacht that I have been thinking of replacing the rear bath in as the Arizona heat has not been kind to the plastic. Fiberglass sure sounds a lot better than plastic and the components appear to be in better condition than mine.

Is it possible to swap these units out?

Do the trailers have the same shape on the endcaps?

Will the fibreglass add more weight to the coach than the plastic?

It appears like some minor plumbing would have to take place to make to tub fit.

What about the toilet? Are the entry points to the black water tanks similar?

Is this a pretty hairbrained idea or does it sound reasonable?

If it is not reasonable, Has anyone ever replaced the components of a rear bath model with something different that is still lightweight?

Thanks, Slade
