OD let me see OUTDOORS NO HOW about a Abbreviation for Outside Diameter. So also ID for Inside diameter Both terms used mostly by machinists. but also used to describe the outside of tires and pipe or the outside of any circle.
Hows that?

I made two, 30ft runs that began between the battery compartments forward, around each side, ending together below the license plate in the rear.
1000Bulbs sells 3ft 'U' shaped plastic channels that the rope lighting 'snaps' into. I removed every other rivet in the alum extrusion that carries the normal blue vinyl to mount the plastic channels...to keep the run continuous, I had to run over the wheel wells, under the water heater and on the other side under the entry door.
I wired the supply wires up front into the switch for the small light on the electric Tongue jack...easiest way to go...
We now call our AS 'The Blue Halo'...

Maybe if I had those... The cop would have missed me.

Gypsygirl I absolutely am drooling over your Spartanette. I love the wood and the character you have given it! I am having a ball just meandering through your living room. Thanks for posting the picture.
Donna I will do a search for those lamps they sound interesting. I trust your decorating sense, your Airstreams are wonderfully decorated. Thanks.
How's it going Michelle? Got your baby fixed yet? Hope they made her bionic and built her even better. I was so sad to hear of the mishap but ever so glad you were not hurt. Are you enjoying your stay with friends now?

Carol,
I am at my sisters in Florida. I have not heard from them nor have I called. They will call when she is done. I have been busy looking after my nephews and neice as well as doing many projects around the house my sisters soon to be ex-husband neglected to do. I have been keeping busy. THe house purchase in Missoula is progressing.

Sounds like things are really bustling for you. We'll have to have a virtual online house warming party for ya. I bet that would be kinda cool. (The gifts will be cheaper too.) Keep us posted. Haven't seen a picture from you since Spokane.

Here's some pics of how I mounted the blue rope light on our 'Blue Halo'...the 'U' shaped plastic channel is riveted inside the lower alum extrusion that normally holds the wide, blue vinyl strip...

That's the coolest thing I've seen!!! The blue rope lights on the lower belt line is a great idea!! I am sorry that I did not think of it and I apologize in advance for "stealing" it. (the idea not the lights) I used the same type of lights for under cabinet lighting in my home and was going to use it on the inside of our 72 sov. but now I will have to do the belt line too!! Thanks for sharing the supplier with us the cost will be 1/3 that of the big box store! And they have more of the connector supplies.

pillows
I'm currently working on a couple of needlepoint pillows for the Argosy (currently working means the design is still in my head) that will feature the Argosy, flamingos, names, dates, etc. Should be pretty cool! I am almost at the stage of putting the designs down on paper to transfer to my needlepoint canvas!

A little color added...
...and a 4 fold benefit !
Some stained glass work on the lower oval window by the bed certainly added some color .....
Probably gives us another .02% R value by making that one a "thermo-pane" window .......
It keeps me from bashing the venetian blinds with the blanket during the night or while making the bed .......
And it wards off that creepy feeling someone is peeking in the window and making faces at me in the middle of the night !
Good resurrected thread !
I think we're in for some of that cool blue UFO look underneath this year !
Y'all have fun out there ! Good Luck & God Bless !

What a fun thread! I love all the ideas.
B4WEDI, the stained glass is such a gorgeous personal touch. I have never ever seen such a window in any RV.
