Sleep Number Mattress

We have a 30' Classic that has the mattress platform with the wooden slats. Would like to get a sleep number mattress, but they say it must be on solid surface. Anyone have any experience with sleep number on the slats or a solution that doesn't involve a plywood install.

Leave the slats in place, throw pieces of 1/4 inch birch plywood cut to fit on top to smooth out the surface.

Easy fix...donít even have to fasten down the plywood...
