Skin and rib high temperature

Has anyone ever measured how hot the skin and ribs get in direct sunlight (from the inside)? Just want to know how heat resistant the materials need to be.

Thanks

John

John, there are threads on the forums discussing heat transfer through the skin and ribs. I know I’ve read the temperature swing. The skin temperature can get very hot on the inside if you don’t design for that. In rebuilding ours we did use a thermal break to help out. Good luck.

I have read through a number of threads about insulating and temperature but never found a mention of how hot the skin gets. I am wanting to be sure any materials I use can withstand that much heat.
