Side couch/bed on Argosy 1972 (22 foot)

Our side bed/couch has come unattached at one end...it still moves from flat to couch okay. However for sleeping the one end pretty well rests on the wheel covering inside. Any suggestions on how to secure this again to the frame of the trailer? We replaced the old mattress with a futon mattress. SO now we just have the futon, with the plywood baseboard that slides in or out from bed to couch and one end of the frame is attached, but the other is not.
Help...long time since I sent a post..Hope this makes sense.
Thanks, Wade Phibbs (Stratford Ont. Canada)

Ps- Any suggestions for the start of rust on the exterior..we had the unit painted about 4 years ago and it looks wonderful...but a small area near one of the outside lights is rusting a little...THANKS!
