Getting things ready today and started to put things in the shower area.It seems that the double sided sticker that hold the shub frame in place seperated from the half inch wall.I put it back together but dont know how long this will hold.Has anyone ever had this happen to them?I even noticed how simple the shower area was made and it can really use some modding up to make it more water proof in certain areas.
It just suprised me that they used double sided tape to mount these up to hold the door into place.I would have thought that even some type of caulking would also help.

It just cant get any better than that.
Hi, my shower door has not fallen off, but due to flexing and changes in temperature, my upper cross bar/brace become loose. I took the upper cross bar off and installed a nylon [square] license plate nut in one end. This made for a tight fit. I also re-sealed my Shub with bath tub sealer on both sides where it meets the wall. Been a few years and no problems.

I am going to seal it with some bathtub sealer and a piece of clear angled plastic trim to lay on top of it.that should hold it down good.Seems like the glue gave way though.Maybe some dabs sikaflex in some areas may help it stick better.

Mine did that a couple years ago. I noticed it gradually shifting, I suspect due to vibration and expansion cycles.
I slipped a putty knife into the double sided tape area, broke it loose, and relocated in the appropriate position. Then I caulked along the inside wall edge/shub from top to bottom. Mine had been shifting outward toward the toilet (more at the top than the bottom).
The caulk has held fine for a couple years now with no further shifting.
