Shower curtain hangie things

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased my first Airstream, a 1967 26' Tradewind. I was very lucky to find one that, outside of a couple hundred hours of cleaning and refinishing of the cabinetry, did not need a lot of work.

Now I am getting down to the small details and there is one thing that has me stumped.

Where can I find the hangie thingies for the shower curtain? My Tradewind has a tiny aluminum track mounted on the ceiling and I cannot find any part that will fit in the 1/8" track. Does anyone know where to get this part or a suitable replacement?

Thanks,
Jay

Welcome to the world of Tradewinds!

We have a '70 model and have been very happy with it! Our shower curtain is on a "fold up" rod so I'm not exactly sure what your track looks like. You may want to try RV Surplus and Salvage (under the Curtain Hardware section). I was able to find what I needed at a very reasonable price.

Good luck and happy Airstreaming!

Airstream has two types in the parts catalog for my trailer. They only cost a few pennies each. I bought some when I changed the shower curtain.

Sounds like the kind you need is Airstream part number 700044, "Glides w/elastic, T-type". They go into an aluminum track with a narrow slot.

If you go to the parts manuals on the Airstream site and open up the 2003 International parts catalog, the two types are pictured on page II-9 along woth all the types of curtain track.

Shower thingies...

This came up awhile back and I posted an idea I saw at last years VAC Rally using buttons. It worked well, may just do the trick...

Here's a link to the previous thread
