Show us your Weather Stations?
I have noticed some people have Weather Stations in their Airstreams.
I would like one, and wanted to know more about them!
Please tell me what you have or if you have one at home?
I think it would need to be battery operated...
Pictures, opinions and suggestions!

Most reasonably priced weather stations are portable and run on batteries.
One of the best companies is Oregon Scientific.
I have several of their stations, for the office and home, upstairs and down stairs.
There are many different models, depending on what information you want.

due to age and temperment, i have found comfort in low-tech options.
also, living in AZ does tend to offer fewer weather options:
sunny - 90% of the time
cloudy - sometimes
rainy - rarely
i have found the inside remote unreliable
out here this method works most of the time.
current temperature can be determined by touching
the outside sensor on a sunny day, then measuring
the size of the blister.
compare size to handy temperature/blister chart.

Here in Arkansas we use the hanging weather rock....when the rock is wet, it is raining, when the rock is swinging, it is windy....When the rock is gone, ....it is a Tornado !!!!

Here in Colorado we look out the door. It changes too offer to rely on some electronic gizmo.

If I am cold...it has to be below 50, turn up the furnace, if I am hot it is well past 90...trade long sleeve shirt for short sleeves. If my knees are aching look for a change in the weather, if my hands ache look for a big change in the weather. Best part is that it is beer powered, no looking for the correct size battery and it will withstand an EMF attack.
