I just got this in. Debating, if I sould part this or sell it? Selling it would be for $1200. Who needs parts? The rear end is dented, and the interior is pretty much gutted - the stove, sink and cabinet with oven wall is there, as is the center double / gaucho and closets. Other than that, it is empty. Oh yeah, the tub in the rear is there. Also missing rear window, but frame is there. What do you think? What are people's ideas. All knotty pine interior would be cool!

Wow rob youv'e got alot of airstreams.that one does need some rear panels, but it looks like the rig is pretty good on the outside .The price sounds right .
Ebay with a $1200 minimum if no one snatches it from you here... Never cut one up! Ah, but if you decide to, I might want that awning -- it is a Carefree isn't it?
Ok my god NO! CALL THE AIRSTREAM POLICE! Rob, you of all people are going to destroy an precious and beloved airstream? You are soooooo close to losing a listener.
Hopefully you would consider keeping it in one piece.
Hey I have a picture for you. I used to fly traffic watch over the skies of DC.
I took pictures all the time. I think I airel shot of your southern "home"

Yeah, I'm looking at this again and I think it would definitely bring $1200 if it didn't have that awning on it. The ad would show a unit with cleaner lines, it's obvious it's not attached well raised up in the front and all. Maybe I should take that off for you on the weekend of the 1st.
Rob, if you decide to part it out, and if the three tambour doors are in operating condition, I need the Face Frame Assembly of the Front Travel Lounge and the three plastic bins.
As much as I agree with thecatsandi ... don't part this thing out without telling me the price you want for the Airstream Letters, the red/white/blue side emblems and the hubcaps...

if you are still interested in selling, my Dad is looking for something exactly like this! If you could post your zip, so I can see how far the trip may be. Thanks! Kim
I hate to see any Airstream parted out. This one looks to be in okay shape on the outside except for the dents. At that price it should go to someone that wants to tackle the refurb. I alway's consider a parts trailer as one that is wrecked or beyond repair.

The Airstream has been saved....it has gone to a newbie in Middletown, MD for a steal. Thanks for everyone's input....and you all know, I'm about saving Airstreams, not cutting them up, as long as someone is willing to venture upon restoration! VAP on! and we look forward to seeing you at a WDCU rally in the future. Just added one to the stat of how many Airstreams are still on the road today! Virginia, we'll work a Bargman L-300 lock on your trailer - a brand new one!
Rob

Do remember that your "project" is someone else's profit...!
Cutting them up is just dollars and cents to some guys/gals. Sorry, but there it is.
Of course, I prefer the repair and refurb method, but I do like my parts and pieces from the 'cut-em-up' guys.... cheaper. I close my eyes and pay the bill.
