Screwing into walls?

I think that I have read on this forum that you can use stainless metal screws to fasten things like curtain tracks and shelves to the wall of an AS.

How heavy does something need to be before you have to find a rib?

Can you remove a screw, or maybe it is a rivet, and use that hole to fasten something?

I would like to ad some curtain tracts or window side valances in our Safari SE.

Thanks for any replies!

Pat

Valances should be no problem for using two brackets with two rivets each (one bracket on each end). Just remember to use aluminum rivets to keep from experiencing dissimilar metal corrosion.
