Ok, a little more detail
The two cables are made of aprox 3/32 stainless aircraft style cable
They, when extened to there full extention of 28" and 30" are under extreme spring load from the mechinism in the kitchen cupboard.
The ironing board sounds like a good theory if they weren't in towards the wall, I did find a fold up ironing board in another cupboard, I will try to include another picture

Have you thought of asking the previous owner??? From your opening post, it doesn't sound like you've had the trailer for long...could you ask? I think we are all dying to know at this point!

Ya, I thought about that, I just dont think he is sober enough to even know where the bed is much less the cables and the woman he bought it from took it in a devorce from her husband so he wouldnt be able to use it for his fishing trips Drama drama drama

It is a Tibetan prayer wheel. One pulls on the two hooks thus spinning the wheel. I saw it right away. If you clean it up you will see it as well.
