Replacing Shower Door

We have a '97 Excella 25' with the side bath. My problem is that the shower door is a folding plastic door on a track, and greatly interferes with my getting in and out of the shower. Has anyone removed this and replaced it with a fabric curtain on a rod? It would certainly make it easier to use the shower.

I replaced the shower door on my '97 Excella 25 by building a shower door using aluminum pieces I got from a custom shower shop and 1/2" thick twinwall polycarbonate. It works great. The twinwall is super light and virtually unbreakable and the aluminum pieces have not corroded after 6 years of use. If you decide to do something similar, I still have some left over twinwall for sale.

Beautiful! That really looks fantastic!!! Our previous owner replaced the plastic accordian door with a curtain, which looks wonderful and works great for adults, but children make a big mess and get lots of water out. If anyone wants to get rid of the plastic door and track, we are looking to put one back in. Anyone know of a supplier? Unless I can convince my husband to do what you did, Bob! Anyone know where I can get the wall side of the latch for the heavy accordian door in the hall, by the way?
