replacement plastic trim

I finally figured out why the aluminum moulding around my rear bath sink (where the shower door hooks in) is bowed. After scraping out a ton of silicon & caulk (somebody's idea of a "fix") I see that one of the rivets or screws that holds the moulding to the abs has become skewed & needs to be removed/replaced because it's keeping the moulding from hitting flush. But, there's a decorative strip of some kind of plastic which covers up the rivets. As gentle as I have tried to remove this- it still just crumbles like potato chips. I'm gonna have to replace this to do the job right but I don't know with what or where to get it. The color now is something of a pale havest gold.
Thanks so much for all your help!!

Camping store

Believe it or not, this is common to most RV's.

The Camping store near my house sells both the base and the cover. The colors are usually a beige or a white of some sort. They are not really Airstream specific but kind of a generic part.

I have the same problem in my bath but I was able to put it back together without doing too much damage.
