Repair 84 Sovereign Front Interior Panel

I have a 1984 Sovereign that the front molded panel has began to crack. It has about a 8" crack now. Any ideas as to how to repair, etc. thanks.

My 84 Excella has a crack in the front panel. The previous owner drilled a VERY SMALL TINY hole at the end of the crack to stop the crack from running, and it has not ever run any more. Other than that it is not very noticeable, and I have done nothing else to mess with it.

Thanks for the info on repairing the crack in my 84 Sovereign. Still not sure the best route to take.

Without seeing the type and size of the crack one can only guess . . . However, as a retired Navy pilot and Aircraft Maintenance Officer the advice given by dscluchfc is sound. Generally a small hole drilled at the very end of the crack will stop the progression of the crack. It's known as stop-drilling and it is a very effective method of halting the crack.

Actual repair of the crack is another question, better dealt with when the type and extent of the crack is better known.
