Renovating 1993 34ft Excella Demo Images

Sharing the images of my interior demo via my flickr account.

I have about 24 hours of labor into the demo so far done on weeknights after work.

Not near as hard as I thought it would be.

Fridge area and Bathroom are all I have left.

Considering taken down upper cabinets but it that wasn't in my original plan.

Brenda!
That is so awesome thanks for sharing!
I have a 34' excella 1989 and I'm renovating it too...
I'm currently living it so I'm deciding the best way to go about tackling this...
I bought a 6x12 foot enclosed trailer to keep things out of as much as possible but it isn't easy...
I'm basically finding that I have just started pulling things apart and not going to reuse them so not worried about damaging things...
Any good resources you used/any good advice...
any help would be much appreciated...
Thanks again
Peter

That's a nice exterior! You going to do a whole new interior or keep some of the original stuff?

While you are that 'deep' into the project.. you might consider doing what we did in a small area.

I purchased some special 'epoxy' called 'GitRot'. It is a thin epoxy which repaired a 'softening area' on our 1999. I will utilize this process whenever I discover a 'floor' issue like this in the future. It would add a bit more cost, but potentially a lot longer LIFE in your AS..

There is another site I recently discovered (by help of a friend here) that specializes in epoxy and where you might consider as a 'source' for your project. PM if interested in knowing more.

Basically, you could drill 1/8" holes partially into the floor along the perimeter, inject the almost "water" consistency epoxy into the wood flooring and this will 'tighten up' and waterproof the area... we have had 3 years on the 'fix' and no issues..! We have had occasion where water penetrated in the same area but, was just a damp spot on top of the epoxy..!!!

We were able to resolve the leaks without worrying about potential 'damage' in the area..

Good job on your Airstream!
