Removing bathroom

I'm wondering if anyone has removed their AS bathroom permanently? My husband is less enthused about this than me - but really we'd have to yank it anyway to re-do it/use it. I have zero desire to ever use the bathroom anyway (prefer the bathrooms at the campgrounds). Thought we could just hold onto the parts (in case we ever sell it), and turn it into extra sleep are for the kids. Anyone have pictures of this? We have a '72 Overlander.

Hi, I personally avoid public bathrooms as much as possible. Two times while traveling we were stuck on the side of the road for several hours. One was for a fire and the other one was for a truck accident; It sure was nice to have a bathroom to use and a kitchen too, while waiting. We usually go on long trips and when you need a bathroom, it's good to have one with you.

It would have a really negative effect on the re-sellability of your trailer. Most people want a "trailer" rather than a "hard sided tent". But ultimately, it's yours to do as you please.

Lynn and I finally moved to trailers because we never could find a tent that came with a bathroom. However, I'm happy to hear that my old home state has decent campground bathrooms.

Thumbs down

It's very nice to have your own facilities to use any time, any where you wish. Good weather or bad, daylight or dark.

As said before, it's your trailer to do with as you see fit, however, if you do away with the bathroom it may remain your trailer far longer than you wish.
