That is amazing....I can't believe that that is such a problem, just from the sun reflecting like that....!!!!

Would seem shiny doors are a fire hazzard. Seriously. Dry campground, leave door open as you take a little nap, and burn down the whole place. Might even melt the SOB next door.

Question New abbreviation for me?

OK, what is "SOB"? I use that all the time but I think my spelled-out version is different.

or is it?

Has anybody tried this product from 3M : MMM08907 , It is available from NAPA autoparts stores under the same part number and is called 3M Woodgrain & Stripe Remover. They also have an adhesive remover with the part #08908

Just a thought.

Okay...so I finally got around to doing a little test this weekend...tired to fry an egg in the reflection, it was a success!

BTW notice how much more our nylon carpet has melted...got a new idea for 'carpet' on our next trip, since the nylon carpet is melting before our eyes...

WOW. I just came across this thread today- Thanks, Shari, for showing the sun's power for cooking eggs! We just painted the inside of our door "airstream blue" as I call it- most will be covered by a flamingo flag. I either didn't know about the airstripper, thought it was toooo toxic or just plain forgot, as the youngest son was painting all that yucky vinyl with sealing paint, low-no voc- yesterday. I think for my immediate health, we will keep going with the paint due to my son's volcanic temperment. silver suz

and this morning my wife complained that with our kitchen blinds open, the morning sun shining off the Airstream is absolutely blinding.
My remark..."yeah, dontcha love it!"
