Thumbs up Question about mattress sizes?

Ack! I'm getting so frustrated with trying to post here that I could scream!!!

I'm shopping around for bedding for our new Airstream (2005 Safari Bunk) and am thinking of buying a memory foam topper for the queen size bed (reasonably priced at overstock.com) because I noticed the bed is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. My question is: are the beds in airstreams standard size? Our rig is still at the dealership (over an hour from here), so it's not like I can run out and measure it.

What do you guys do to make the beds more comfortable? I really don't want to shell out the bucks for a new mattress after just signing away the next 12 years of my life to pay for the Airstream

Thanks!

The typical queen size in an Airstream is an RV Queen, 60" wide but only 75" long.

We use a quilted memory foam topper from Camping World.

Bed Size

This post may help.

Several other recent threads have dealt with memory foam toppers and cutting them to size.

6X, we have the short Queen in our AS-achey nights! We bought the 2" memory foam topper at Sam's Club, I trimmed it a couple inches at the end, and it has made all the difference, and at a fairly economical rate (@ $100 for the Queen topper). Do it. It's easy, simple, and won't break the bank like a whole new mattress
