Smile Pocket Door Repair

The rear pocket door on Twinkle, our 94 30' Excella, was easy to open but hard to close. I got that settled this afternoon in the following manner:

1. Removed the top wooden door cover--just two phillips screws and it was easy to take out.

2. Got a small box wrench, and after moving the plastic holder back, raised the rear roller assembly pretty quickly.

3. Gave a good squirt of WD-40 to both rollers, wiping off any excess

4. Replaced the top cover. Works great!

Hope this helps!

Yup.. I had a similar experience but I took mine further. I removed the full plywood wall on the bedroom side to see what it was dragging on. once removed I saw all kinds of little problems with the wood strips that used to be attached places and now just dangled ect.. The door was beginning to separate too making it a bit wider. Oh boy there is just no end to the fun!

Glad yours just took WD-40

Vinnie

Thumbs up Pocket Door Repair

Thanks for the excellent idea--I didn't think of that. Did you have to remove the cabinet to remove the wall? Bet I've got similar things going on inside the wall too.

Your 2001 30' with the slide out looks great! Bet you enjoy the slide out. has it worked out well for you?

Thanks again for the additional idea!

Dennis
