I want to build and install the folding table that opens infront of the couch on a '70 Overlander as mine is missing. Do any of yall have plans or pics or experience. I'm not sure how to mount to the wall under street side window and I have searched and found some good photo's but cannot tell how to mount there. It also seems there is a wooden shelf/ledge that it would fold under when not in use. I would also be willing to buy one. I'm guessing "L" brackets rivited to the wall? Also what type of wood would be used that is not too heavy, Pine?
Thanks for any information.

I have one out of a 73 Safari that was by the door in front of the door...it slides toward the entrance door and then folds out in front of the goucho. Is this what your looking for?
Folding table.....we have a 1969 27' Overlander that has the fold out table on the curbside. Yes it has a wooden shelf above it that is about the same shape are the padded gaucho arm on the streetside. The table slides out until it clears the gaucho then folds up and the leg folds down. We just replaced the leg so I know those are available. Then there is a latch that you undo to slide out the extension support to extend the table and the top folds open to make the table double the size. I think the table has piano hinges. Then the table can slide back towards the gaucho so that you can go in and out of the door. Our table has an odd little u shaped pin to keep the two top pieces together when it is folded down and back into the stowaway position....odd little thing because it doesn't stay put. It is on the front edge by the door so I see it whenever I open the door. Does this help? I can take photos the next time we visit our trailer if you need them...pj

Here are few pics of mine that I have out. They may give you some ideas to go by. I plan to try and duplicate the last table photo which is a forum members that I saved into my files. If you would like measurements pm me your e-mail and I'll get some off to you tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies, that looks like what I'm after exactly. More pics would be great so I can try to fabricate one for my AS.
I will also PM my email.
thanks for the quick replies.

the oak one in the bottom picture was made for my motorhome, it was hinged at the back against the wall, folding leg underneath, and a piano hinge at the outside edge. I used a satin finish and it held up great.
