Question what prep?

Kay, is that over bare aluminum? over some other coating? Sanded? Not sanded?

I'm new at this silver stuff, but my experience with house painting, inadequate prep can result in peeling, cracking and mess.

Paint is over top of the vinyl wallpaper AS used in these trailers. Ours was in good shape (as in still stuck very well to the walls), and had been previously painted over in the front area. I washed very well, rinsed very very well, and then we painted. I didn't sand it ahead of time. The front header was a new piece and it also took paint well. I touch it up every year as needed in a few areas (missed rivet, etc. Always seems to be something that catches my eye). Other than that, no bubbling or sloughing has happened. We used "pursuit of happiness" blue.

Repainted our interior with Behr premium from Home Depot. Just did a thorough cleaning with 409, a scrub brush, and water. So far we're on the second year with no cracking or peeling. Applied with 4" roller and brush for cut in.
